One thing I noticed was that it is way easier to create a poem that is dark and brooding than anything else... Considering the time of year and that I would be sharing this with other people, I tried very hard not to produce a poem that would stifle the mood of the readers, and create something ambient and more or less uplifting instead. This is the end product!

For the Poetry Project I decided to make a multimedia animation video. I'm not good at drawing at all nor have I ever fathomed I would make an animation before, but trying this out was actually really fun and learned a lot. After I wrote the poem I went around the neighbourhood taking pictures and videos of things, then put them in the video. I then used my Samsung tablet to make stop motion clips, (in total I think I drew 900 frames or something...) It probably took about 6 hours to complete all the clips I needed because I was learning as I went, and I gathered and created all the material for this video over the course of about a week. I then included an improvized song I played on the piano for the background music. I then put everything together using Adobe Premier Pro, and overlayed the poem over the video. After multiple tweaks and last minute edits, I finally have an end product! I intend to post my video onto Youtube, Facebook, and art sharing forums to share with my friends and hopefully strangers that enjoy poetry. Hopefully people will enjoy my project as much as I enjoyed making it~
